Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Mosaic Days (the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Mosaic Days, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and the Disclaimer set out in Section 8. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Mosaic Days is a multi-module personal productivity and lifestyle app:

Modules and features may change over time at our discretion (see Section 10).

3. Accounts and Local Use

3.1 Most modules can be used locally on your device without an account. Data created in those modules is stored only on your device.

3.2 An account is required for features that involve cloud synchronization, currently the Saved Places module. You may register with email, Google or Apple.

3.3 You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

3.4 You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must obtain parental or guardian consent.

3.5 Notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Pricing, Ads and Subscriptions

5.1 Daily Ad-Unlock (Free)

The default access plan is ad-supported. Watching 2 rewarded ads per day unlocks all premium features for the rest of that day (until local midnight).

5.2 Annual Subscription

NT$1,200 per year. Removes the daily ad-unlock requirement. Processed through Apple App Store:

5.3 Lifetime Plan (Pre-launch, Limited)

During the pre-launch warm-up period, a lifetime plan is offered at NT$1,500, strictly limited to the first 500 buyers. "Lifetime" means for as long as the Service continues to operate; it does not constitute a perpetual guarantee of operation.

The lifetime plan covers all features available at the time of purchase and future features that do not depend on server-side infrastructure. Cloud-dependent features introduced after the purchase date may require a separate add-on purchase.

5.4 Billing and Refunds

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Refunds, cancellations and renewals are governed by Apple's policies. We do not handle billing directly and cannot issue refunds outside of the store's process.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 The Service, including its design, code, AI prompts, graphics, logos and all related content, is owned by Mosaic Days.

6.2 We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6.3 Content you create (transactions, notes, contacts, saved places, photos, etc.) remains yours.

7. Data Storage and Backup Responsibility

7.1 Local-first architecture. The vast majority of your data is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

7.2 Cloud-stored data is currently limited to the Saved Places module.

7.3 Because most data is local, you are responsible for backing it up. Uninstalling, switching devices, factory resets, device loss, or storage corruption can permanently and irreversibly delete your data.

7.4 We do not provide any guarantee that local data can be recovered after such events.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

8.1 The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.

8.2 Mosaic Days is a personal-use tool and is NOT a financial, accounting, tax, investment, legal, medical, veterinary, navigation or travel advisory service. AI / OCR / voice / map results may contain errors. You must verify before relying on them.

8.3 Pre-launch / beta status. Features, pricing, data structures and modules may change without prior notice.

8.4 Location, geofencing and notification features depend on device sensors and OS permissions. We do not guarantee accuracy, timeliness or delivery.

8.5 We are not liable for losses arising from inaccurate AI/OCR/voice/map results, loss of local data, service interruption, third-party services, or your decisions based on data shown in the Service.

8.6 To the maximum extent permitted by law:

(a) Free / ad-supported users. The Service is provided at no charge; our aggregate monetary liability to you is zero.

(b) Paid users. All purchases are completed through the Apple App Store. Apple acts as the merchant of record. Our liability for non-billing claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to the app store for Mosaic Days in the 12 months preceding the event.

9. Account and Data Deletion

9.1 You may delete your account at any time from the in-app settings.

9.2 Cloud-stored data tied to your account will be permanently removed within 30 days of account deletion.

9.3 Locally stored data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's storage.

10. Changes to the Service

10.1 We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

10.2 We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

11.1 We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful.

11.2 Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes shall be submitted to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.
